Google Play Games gets design update with new mini-games

Google has updated its Play Games platform after quite a while, and this time it has come up with an all-new UI and some new games. The new version 5.3 will roll out in Google Play Games app.

The design changes introduced in the new update includes the landing page which now features a rotating list of titles rather than the up-and-down list seen previously seen in version 5.2 of Google Play. Each title in the carousel list has a new game icon. Below this, you’ll also see a “games library” button which brings you to a smaller list of items of all your currently played games.

The good thing about the new update is that it has introduced a lighter interface with least information displayed on the front and you have to tap some buttons to further explore games and information, removing the option of ‘discover new games’.

Google Play Store will feature recommendations for games section. There were no major changes seen in settings menu while the color of the experience points menu has been made more vivid.

The three pre-loaded mini-games have been added in this update which includes Cricket, PAC MAN, and the legendary single-player card game Solitaire. After installing the new update you can easily play these games within the app.

The update size is 20 MB in total and this new version 5.3 will be rolling out globally very soon. To check whether this update is available for your region right now click this link.
