The next Google Pixel is one of the most hyped phones of this year. Just like last year, there’ll be 2 versions of the next Pixel phone, Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel 2 XL.
Last year the only difference between these phones was the screen size. Everything else, including the screen resolution and cameras were the same. But according to the new leaks, things would be different this year.
This year, the screen resolution of the Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 is expected to be different. The Pixel 2 is expected to come with a 1080p screen resolution and the Pixel XL 2 is said to come with QHD resolution. Last year, most flagship devices came with the Snapdragon 820 and the Pixel phones came with a slightly upgraded Snapdragon 821 but that is not the case this year. Both of the phones will be featuring the Snapdragon 835, which is featured in all flagship phones of 2017.
The design is expected to be bezel-less and there will be stereo speakers on the front which is amazing. The screen will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The phones will also have IP67 water resistance.
Talking about the cameras, Pixel was one of the best shooters of 2017 without any doubt. This year, the phones will still come with a single back and single front camera. But yes, our hopes are high for Pixel’s camera. The Pixel 2 will come with a 2,700mAh battery and the Pixel 2 XL will feature a 3,520mAh battery. Both phones will support flash charging but there is still no wireless charging. Just like the last year, both of the phones will come with unlimited Google Photos storage. Both devices will come with 64/128 GB internal storage options.
Moreover, the devices are said to come with embedded SIM cards and you’ll be able to switch carriers without changing the SIM. But this would only be beneficial for the users in the USA. We hope that it will still come with a SIM card slot for other countries.
