Google is paying homage to the iconic singer of Pakistan, Nazia Hassan with its doodle feature on her 53rd birthday. The Pop singing sensation left the world 18 years ago and is still living in the hearts of the people through her songs. They are still being played even today everywhere in Pakistan.
From older generation to millennials, no one seems to be unaware of who Nazia Hassan was. She is certainly an inspiration for singers all over Asia.
Nazia Hassan immediately gained popularity right after “Aap Jaisa Koi” and within a year she released a debut album “Disco Deewane”. The singing sensation also gained immense love and fans from India and she also collaborated with the legend, Kishore Kumar. She has released over a dozen albums during her music career and had she been alive, she would have contributed much more to the music industry.
She was often seen singing along with her brother Zoheb Hassan who was equally talented. She has received many international awards and her major achievement is being the youngest recipient of Filmfare award at a young age of fifteen. Here’s the link where you can see the doodle in Google Search bar.
She was not only a great singer but even a better human being as she worked for countless social welfare projects including her famous campaign against drug use. Surely, she was beautiful inside out.
She also received “Pride of Performance Award” by Government of Pakistan.
We are highly indebted to Nazia Hassan for giving us soulful music with meaningful lyrics. She will always stay at the top of music charts in our personal lists.
