Google has added the newest member to its app family – Spaces, a group sharing app. This app has been developed to provide one-in-all features for group conversations. This app will allow users to share all kinds of data and information in group conversations within the app without having to switch between apps. To facilitate this, Google is integrating the app with built-in YouTube, Chrome, and Google Search.
Through the use of Google Spaces, you will never have to leave the app to look at the links, videos, or photos that others have shared on the group conversation. According to Luke Wroblewski, the product director of the app, “Sharing things typically involves hopping between apps to copy and paste links. Group conversations often don’t stay on topic, and things get lost in endless threads that you can’t easily get back to when you need them.”
The app is going to look like our every other day messaging app but with the influence of Google+’s interface. You can invite everyone to join you in a space. A space is Google Space’s fancy name for a group that can be created with just one tap. From what it seems, this app looks to directly compete with the likes of WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger.
Lastly, this app will be available on both Android and iOS. So, let’s welcome the latest member of the Google app family that is going to make group conversations much more convenient than ever before.
