Google just killed Chrome support for XP, Vista and OS X 10.8

Google’s newest version of Chrome no longer supports Windows XP, Windows Vista or any Mac device running OS X 10.8 or older.

Released nearly 15 years ago, Windows XP is still considered as one of the best versions of Microsoft’s and is used by almost 13.7% of all computer users but now, Google has finally decided to axe Chrome support for the much-loved O with Chrome 50. The fabled-Vista and the barely 4-year old OS X 10.8, Mountain Lion, have also received the same treatment.

Along with ditching support for XP, Vista and Mountain Lion, the latest version of Chrome also comes with a number of tweaks for Chrome Notifications for developers and a whole list of behind-the-scene changes for developers to play around with. The right-click spellchecker menu is there too, a heavenly addition for multi-lingual typists.

With nearly 39.09% of all desktop users running Chrome, the Google browser is clearly a favorite of most and one of the best browsers available in the market. However, if you still use a device running any of the aforementioned operating systems, you’ll have to look elsewhere to have a chance at the latest and greatest features from now on.
