Women have been responsible for some of the greatest trends of modern days. Unfortunately, they haven’t received due recognition. Google Developer Group (GDG) hope to change that with their Women Techmakers event. The event will take place in Islamabad on April 13th.
The idea behind the event is to celebrate the achievements of women in the tech community. These include sharing stories of female designers, developers and technology entrepreneurs. Women from all walks of life can attend the event for a very unique experience. The event will allow them to not only socialize but also find like-minded people and inspire others. Unlike every conference, WTM’19 will have ample mentoring sessions and networking opportunities.
The event provides you with an incredible learning experience with sessions like:
A technical workshop that can help you develop the skills to get the most out of Google Cloud technologies and thrive in a cloud-first workplace.
#IamRemarkable workshop is an initiative by Google for empowering women and underrepresented groups to celebrate their achievements in the workplace and beyond. The lead trainer of this workshop will be Huma Mobin – Creative Manager at BBDO PAKISTAN.
By attending the networking brunch, improve your ability to meet new people. Learn to give an “elevator pitch” (speech) to introduce yourself to new people and to highlight your key qualities.
We have some amazing speakers who will be sharing their life journey with everyone
Expect to be inspired by some influential panelists. The panelists are: Obaidullah Khawaja (Head of Digital Partnerships and Bizdev at Telenor Pakistan), Saif Arshad (Director at S&P Global), Humna Raza (Dentist & Blogger) – other panelists will be announced soon. The panel will be moderated by Makkiya Jawed
Google has been organizing the event for a few years now. Similar events were organized by GDG in Islamabad back in 2017 and 2018. The event was wildly successful in past years and judging by the event plan we can expect it to quite interesting as well. The event will be organized at Telenor 345 office in Islamabad on April 13th. You can register for the event by visiting this link. Selected attendees will be informed by the end of March.
