Google is officially introducing a new feature into Android which will allow users to store digital COVID vaccine cards. These digital cards will give you a full detail of where and at what time you got the vaccine and which vaccine dose you received and more.
The feature will first roll out to Android users situated in the U.S and will slowly move on to all countries. The feature will be dependent on the information and support provided by healthcare authorities, the government of the respective country, and organizations providing the COVID vaccines.
In addition to merely showing the information, your device will give you the option to save the card on your device and allow you to create custom shortcuts on your home screen. However, it is to be noted that this feature does not collect your personal information but rather only the information that is part of your respective COVID vaccination you receive. Moreover, this depends on the country’s government and the organization that provides the doses.
