Google Docs Brings Handy Features For Mobile Apps

Google has released new updates for its Android and iOS apps for Docs, Sheets and Slides. The new features will make Google mobile apps handier on the go. Jude Flannery, Engineering Director, posted the details of the updates on the Google Docs blog.

The first update has enhanced the editing tools on mobile. You can now check spellings in real-time in documents, hide rows and columns in spreadsheets, and group shapes in presentations.

The second update focuses on online security for keeping your Google Docs content safe. The Google Docs now supports Touch ID on iOS with which you can unlock Docs, Sheets and Slides with your finger print.

The third update is all about making Google Docs more accessible. This update lets blind or low vision people use screen reading services such as Talkback on Android and VoiceOver on iOS to create, edit and share files in Docs, Sheets and Slides.

Additionally, the updated apps also respond well to screen magnification if you want to zoom in for a closer look. The updates are rolling out now on Google Play and the App Store (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
