Google Calendar for web gets new design with amazing features

The long-awaited update to the design of Google Calendar is here and along with it, comes many new features.

In recent years, Google’s developers seem to be busy in developing updates for its mobile apps and services and somehow Google’s web-based applications were forgotten. After months of rumors, Google has now officially announced through a blog post that Material Design is coming to Google Calendar for the web with many features.

Google’s blog states,

“Material Design is coming to Google Calendar for the web, and it’s bringing with it quite a few features that could help enterprises with managing meetings.”

If you are using a web-based version of Google Calendar then you will be glad to know that Google has added a handful of features to help you expedite the efficiency of your work in organizing various tasks.

G Suite admins can now install detailed information of their company’s meeting room. Employees can easily hover over to the room name when they want to book a space and a hovercard will pop up with details about the meeting resources and location.

You can even link your documents, presentations, and spreadsheets with your Calendar invite and you can view them directly from “Event Detail” option. This feature enables you to gather more comprehensive agenda at one place.

Separate columns can be used to view and manage calendars. By clicking “Day” option you can easily view and manage multiple calendars to organize your various administrative tasks.
