Gmail for iOS to warn users about visiting suspicious links

A little while ago Google added security measures to Gmail app for Android user after a widespread phishing scam that affected Gmail users around the globe. And now the tech company has decided to beef up its Gmail app security for iOS users. The new security features will give warning messages to iOS user if they accidentally or deliberately click on suspicious or phishing link.

The new update will be available to iOS users in next 15 days. If the users after receiving warnings about the link still persist to open the link, Google will give another warning stating that the link you are trying to open is malicious and “intends to trick you into disclosing financial, personal or other sensitive information.”

Moreover, the company has also added smart reply feature to Gmail app. The AI system will detect the message and give three reply options to users.

Furthermore, the company has also announced that it will stop scanning Gmail for ad targeting due to privacy issues.
