Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute (GIKI) has been awarded a grant of PKR 100 Million for its Entrepreneurship Development Incubator by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Directorate of Science and Technology and Ministry of ST & IT KPK has provided a grant of PKR 100 Million to the prestigious GIK Insitute. The grant will be used for establishment of Technology Incubation Centre, called The INCUBATOR.
This is a step forward in The Institute’s objective to expand its IT sector and startup domain by establishing the incubation facility. The grant from KPK government will boost the services of GIKI on a much larger scale. This strategy will encourage GIKI’s students and fresh graduates from all across Pakistan to come forward on merit basis, present their ideas and innovations and then become part of the incubation program. It will also create a certain amount of niche for GIKI in education and startup market segment.
GIKI is expanding its Technology Incubation Center facility and aims to provide the services at larger scale using the grant from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government. It will attract final year students/fresh graduates from GIK Institute and from different universities of Pakistan on purely merit basis. This grant shall be used for the expansion project within a 4 years time period (2014-2018)
