Galaxy S25 Ultra’s S Pen Bluetooth Removal Sparks Petition with 600+ Signatures

Samsung’s latest flagship, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, introduces several refinements, including the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and a redesigned frame aimed at improving comfort. However, one significant and controversial decision has drawn widespread criticism from fans—the removal of Bluetooth connectivity from the S Pen.

The update eliminated critical Air Actions features which included both camera remote functions and stylus-controlled presentation navigation along with media playback activation. Users who loved the Note and Ultra series features that enabled remote device control now face their disappearance causing tech reviewer Jeff Springer to launch a petition for their return. A petition with more than 600 signatures has pushed Samsung to return Bluetooth functionality to the Galaxy S26 Ultra which will launch next year.

The statement reads, “We implore Samsung Mobile to listen to their user base and incorporate beneficial feedback into their product development process. As a show of commitment to edge-cutting innovation and customer satisfaction, we collectively ask Samsung to bring back the Bluetooth S Pen for the Galaxy S26 Ultra launch in 2026.”

Reason of Bluetooth Removal from the S Pen

While Samsung has yet to issue an official statement regarding the removal of Bluetooth support, several speculations have emerged. The decision might stem from efforts to balance power efficiency with product durability as well as to implement cost-saving strategies according to industry experts.

Implementing Bluetooth capability demands integrated components like a rechargeable battery and charging coil which could result in manufacturing becoming more complex and expensive. Removing Bluetooth in a top-tier phone that sells for $1,299 amounts to a downgrade since the S Pen function is reduced to basic stylus tasks.

Samsung displays a consistent pattern of modifying its devices by updating software and hardware features based on customer feedback. The S25 Ultra production schedule means that the company will probably maintain its current decision until after the product reaches buyers.

Users who appreciate Bluetooth-enabled S Pen must either adjust to current functionality limitations or await Samsung reconsideration of this feature before launching future models like the Galaxy S26 Ultra in 2026.
