Galaxy S10 might come with its own cryptocurrency wallet

There have been numerous Galaxy S10 leaks so far and the only common thing among all of them is the mention of a punch hole design for its front camera on a 6.2-inch display. The new leak is also no different; the new set of leaked images posted by Twitter user Ben Geskin also offers a first look at the company’s new cryptocurrency wallet, Samsung Blockchain KeyStore application.

Photos of the Samsung Galaxy S10 have leaked once again, showcasing the curved screen and a single hole-punch camera. Leaked images show just a single front camera in its hole-punch, suggesting that this is the standard Galaxy S10 model. However, this is not the first Samsung flagship offering the hole-punch or the “Infinity-O” display; it was first spotted on Samsung’s A8S phones in China. The new leaks look quite similar to what we are expecting; except for the loose gap between the right-mounted camera and the battery icon.

It appears that Samsung will be trying to get in on the trend and make Galaxy S10 a bit more appealing to those who are into cryptocurrency. The leaked images also show Galaxy S10 unit with the new cryptocurrency wallet, Samsung Blockchain KeyStore. In the first image, the “Samsung Blockchain KeyStore” is described as a “secure and convenient place for your cryptocurrency.”

The second image shows that the application will allow its users to import an existing wallet, or create a new one. The screenshot only shows Ethereum as the supported cryptocurrency for now, but by the time the smartphone launches at the 10-year anniversary of the device, it may also support Bitcoin and other popular cryptocurrencies. Apparently, the BlockChain KeyStore can also be secured with biometrics.

Galaxy S10 series will be officially announced on February 20. However, a lot is already known about the phone and we’ll be very surprised if this is the last of the leaks leading up to the launch.
