Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ haven’t reached retail stores yet and the leaks about the upcoming flagship of Samsung’s Note series have already started coming. Samsung Galaxy Note 9 with a model number Samsung SM-N960U has recently appeared in the HTML5 browser test database. The tests show that the device with a proposed 18.5:9 display, acquired from the listed resolution that is 412×846.
The device has scored 522 out of 555 points in the HTML5 browser test.
The test reveals that the Note 9 is featuring Samsung Experience 8.0 browser, meaning that the phone will be running Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box, and, hopefully, with Project Treble on board for an update to Android 9.0 P.
As the predecessor of Note 9, the Galaxy Note 8 was released with a model number SM-N950, SM-N960U of Note 9 hints towards a variant headed to the US market. It’s not hard to deduce that Samsung is hard at work on a Note 9.
Similar to the Galaxy S9, Note 9 will likely feature Snapdragon 845 chipset for speedy performance. Sadly, the Note 9 will not be featuring an in-display fingerprint scanner but will house the same face recognition capabilities that Galaxy S9 does.
As the smartphone is likely to make its debut somewhere near September, so it’s never a good idea to start listening to the rumors way earlier.
