Founder Institute Wants To Create Silicon Valley Based Startup Ecosystem In Pakistan

The world’s largest entrepreneur training and startup launch program announced its first chapter in Karachi recently. The Founder Institute aims to create a startup ecosystem very similar to Silicon Valley with the launch of over thirty technology companies per year in Karachi. They will provide help to talented employees to start companies of their own through a step by step training program led by top local entrepreneurs.

Founder & CEO of the Founder Institute, Adeo Ressi, said,

“Silicon Valley is not a place, it’s a mindset. The Founder Institute emulates this mindset in cities across the globe through what we believe to be the three tenets of Silicon Valley: talent, training, and teamwork.”

The Founder Institute use “Predictive Admissions Test” to identify entrepreneurial personality traits in talented people. After the test, the selected entrepreneurs attend training program taught by startup founders which is based on best practices of Silicon Valley. Finally, the institute divide equity of the companies formed among all the participants in the program through “Graduate Liquidity Pool”.

Pakistan startup ecosystem has a lot to learn yet as it was indicated Muneeb Ali in his latest interview with TechJuice. This initiative of Founder Institute will help in healthy development of startup ecosystem in Pakistan.
