Forget the Galaxy Fold, the foldable Motorola RAZR boasts some bonus unique features

Motorola is said to be reviving its iconic Motorola RAZR phone, and this time it will be foldable.

The smartphone industry is being folded in an immense manner and we have covered this extensively here. The latest contributions in this regard are recently detailed by XDA Developers which has been able to confirm via its own sources that the Chicago-based smartphone firm — Motorola, is indeed working on a smartphone with two displays. Moreover, thanks to a number of unveiled software features, the media outlet has concluded that this device is almost certainly Motorola’s revived RAZR.

As we know from previously heard rumors, the new Motorola RAZR will apparently feature a secondary display on the outside that will be used for viewing certain info over the top. Nevertheless, access to the full Android experience from that small display won’t be possible.

As far as Moto Display is concerned, it’s said that the company is currently testing a way in which users will be able to view push notifications via the secondary display. In addition to this, information such as the Weather and Time options could be readily available to users. Controlling media content through a small widget should also be possible.

Using its own software, Motorola is reportedly limiting which apps can access the secondary display. To be more specific, it seems that the initial range will comprise of a handful of pre-installed apps such as Moto Display, Moto Actions, and Moto Camera.

In the case of Moto Camera, this is where selfies get intriguing. When you open an app, swiping up on the primary display will allow you to zoom in on themselves. Likewise, a simple tap on the larger panel will capture the photo. If you wish to take a photo with a countdown timer, this would be displayed through the secondary screen.

Alongside opening a limited number of apps, the secondary screen will reportedly display up to 6 Quick Settings tiles at all times. Presumably, these will include options such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC. Users should also be able to customize which ones are on display.
