foodpanda launches flat 20 percent discount and free delivery on all orders

Online food delivery marketplace foodpanda has launched a new campaign by activating 20 percent discounts on the entire menu and waving off any delivery charges for more than 500 listed restaurants.

foodpanda is aiming to stir the food industry and is looking to grow even more. The plan to launch the 20 percent discount on almost everything is one of the biggest discount campaigns within the Pakistani food industry to date.

“We constantly asked ourselves a question: how can we bring about a massive growth in the industry? Our objective solved the puzzle. We want to deliver what our customers expect of us, says Omair Bakhsh, Marketing Manager foodpanda Pakistan.

The company has seen sales slow down in the Holy month of Ramadan, a no-brainer because most of the population is fasting. But now that Eid is behind us, foodpanda wants to will help reawaken the love for cozy lunches and fulfilling dinners at home.

“As far as the business is concerned, we’re expecting an explosive growth this month, for us as well as the industry by delivering what customers want – best value for money campaign,” he added further.

The 20% off campaign will go live today, the 11th of July, and will last till the end of this month.

Anyone living in Karachi, Lahore or Islamabad can take advantage of this offer from their website or by downloading their mobile app.

foodpanda has been immensely successful in Pakistan and even acquired another small food-delivery startup called EatOye. Just last year, they saw a 300% increase in orders and handled more than 100,000 transactions per month, all of which they have detailed in an infographic.
