The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested four Afghan nationals in Peshawar for allegedly obtaining Pakistani Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs) and passports through fraudulent means.
The FIA’s Anti-Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC) Peshawar raided a hostel in Shaheen Town on a tip-off received by the FIA Peshawar Zone. According to the agency, the suspects were staying at Spin Ghar Hostel and were working through agents to secure the documents illegally.
The arrested men were identified as Siddiqullah, Rehmatullah, Abdullah and Nasir. All four are Afghan citizens.
FIA officials recovered photocopies of Pakistani CNICs bearing photographs during the raid. The suspects told investigators during initial questioning that they obtained the cards with the help of an agent identified as Talat, also known as Peer. They also failed to produce a valid Pakistani visa.
The FIA has registered Case No. 208/2026 against the suspects at its AHTC Peshawar office. The charges fall under Sections 419, 420, 468, 471 and 109 of the Pakistan Penal Code, along with Section 14 of the Foreigners Act, 1946.
