Ministry of Information and Technology (MoIT) in a bid to promote a more favorable environment for female employees has initiated “Work from Home Policy”.

Under this new scheme, the female officers and staff of the MoIT can avail the opportunity of working from home once a week. With the rapid growth in the field of IT, staying connected and working from home is not an alien concept. The Minister of IT and Telecom Ms. Anusha Rehman has stated that this new policy has been introduced to facilitate Female workers.

The Minister also asserted that this step is taken for the betterment of female officers who should be responsible enough not to show any deficiency towards productivity. Apart from this scheme by Federal govt, The govt of Punjab has also initiated e-rozgaar scheme to train people and equip them with required skills.

The concept of working from home is similar to Freelancing. People tend to do work on different projects while sitting casually at home without much hassle.
