Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has launched its website in the Urdu language to facilitate the local taxpayers who are not familiar with English or they prefer national language.
Chairman Syed Muhammad Shabbar Zaidi took over to twitter to announce the news, he said “Alhumdullilah, we have achieved a landmark in releasing FBR website in our national (Urdu) language. We are committed to make laws and procedures simple, easily understandable with the automated process. Translation has been placed for all major laws. A new beginning.”
Member of Facilitation and Taxpayer Education (FATE) Mustafa Sajjad Hassan and Chief Tehmina Aamer briefed the chairman on the features introduced in the new Urdu website. The senior officers of the board, including Nausheen Javed Amjad, Zubair Bilal, Jawwad Awais Agha, and Seema Shakil were also present on the inauguration.
The Urdu website will facilitate the taxpayers regarding income tax, sales tax, customs, and FBR Maloomaat. The citizens can not only file tax through the website, but it would also provide a platform to register their complaints in Urdu and seek the responses in the national language,
All the custom, tax rules, laws, SROs, and circulars will also be available in the Urdu language. The chairman FBR appreciated the initiative taken by FATE, he acknowledged the efforts of the staff for working tirelessly to make the launch possible in this short time period.
The URL for the new website is very much similar to the old one, the link of the new website is urdu.fbr.gov.pk. Website can also be accessed from the old website as it has given a new tab in the upper right corner with the name of اُردو.
