Facebook continues to bring new and interesting features to keep its users happy and engaged. It has introduced a new feature called “Order Food” which lets you order the food from local restaurants.
People already use Facebook to get different recommendations from different restaurants and seeing what their friends say about them. Now with the new Order Food button, users will be able to order food from their favorite restaurants with a click of a button.
Facebook is partnering with different food ordering services in this effort including EatStreet, Delivery.com, DoorDash, ChowNow, Olo, Zuppler and Slice. These services already have partnerships with different restaurants and those restaurants deliver food through them. In this way, Facebook does not have to compete with them as it has partnered with these services.
Facebook is also working with different restaurants directly including Box, Five Guys, Papa John’s, Wingstop, TGI Friday’s, Denny’s, El Pollo Loco, Chipotle, Jimmy John’s and Panera.
Accessing this feature is very easy and simple. You just need to go to the explore menu in your Facebook app and select “Order Food” from the menu. And once you select what you need, you can click on “Start Order” to place your order.
If the restaurant you select offers delivery through different services, you can choose one of these services to process your delivery. For example, if you choose a restaurant and they are offering delivery services through Delivery.com, you can choose it and login with your current Delivery.com credentials. And even if you do not have an account, you can sign up without leaving the Facebook app.
The feature is currently available in the USA only for iOS, Android, and desktop. Other countries might have to wait for some time to get the service or Facebook might keep it US exclusive.
