In a news that has taken the internet by storm, Facebook has bought Whatsapp for a whopping 19 billion USD. Whatsapp is a tremendously popular application with it’s users all over the world. The multi-platform application has almost 450 million active users. This means that on average Facebook is paying 42$ per user. It is interesting to note that, 4 years ago Founder of Whatsapp Brian Acton had to face disappointment, when he was turned down by Facebook. Time has turned in his favor and now Facebook has acquired Whatsapp and it is considered to be one of the biggest acquisition of recent times.
