Facebook and Telenor have jointly launched the internet.org application on the Google Play Store today. As reported yesterday by Techjuice, Telenor has partnered with Facebook for its internet.org initiative. This initiative of Facebook allows companies and others alike to sign up for internet.org which allows access for free to their websites on Telenor’s network.
We have confirmed through different sources that other telecos are also going to jump in and join the Internet.org bandwagon. Since, today is the official launch day of the service in Pakistan, we have quickly downloaded the application and identified the Pakistani organizations which have opted for this free service.
