Essential, a company founded by Android’s co-founder Andy Rubin, launched its first phone, the Essential PH-1 with a complete bezel-less display back in September.
The phone was originally launched in Stellar Gray, Ocean Depths, and Black Moon colors. Now the company has launched the phone in Pure White and it looks stunning. The company will start shipping the new color in the US from next week and it will be available through the company’s official website, essential.com and other partners including Amazon, BestBuy, and Sprint. The company announced the new color in a Facebook post.
Essential is saying that the phone will start to ship in a week but Amazon says shipments will begin in 1-2 months. We have to wait and see when the phone actually starts shipping.
Essential is not doing great in terms of sale. Previously it was reported that the company could only manage to sell 5,000 units. There could be multiple reasons behind it including the price of the phone. The phone was first announced in May and it was supposed to be launched in July but got delayed to August for some unknown reasons. The phone was further delayed to September and was finally released on September 9. The delay might have resulted into less excitement about the phone.
