Teamup collaborated with the Pakistan-US Alumni Network and conduct an Entrepreneurship Bootcamp at the National Incubation Center, here in Islamabad last week.
The bootcamp which spanned over five days was focused at equipping the PUAN alumni with the necessary entrepreneurship skills so that they are able to effectively start and run enterprises of their own when they go back to their communities. The knowledge-rich program was attended by as much as 30 PUAN alumni, all coming off from a very diverse background.
During the five-day entrepreneurship bootcamp, all of the participating members were taken through a comprehensive training in order to enable them in validating and building on their business ideas. The participants also learned about the Jazz Xlr8 program at NIC and engaged with some of the NIC startups including Anzen, Mapalytics, Mauqa Online and Auto X.
The training consisted of dynamic activities and mentoring surrounding around sizing the market, developing the revenue and business models, growing their customer base. All of this training came from experienced industry professionals and startup experts.
The closing ceremony was held during the late hours of Friday, March 16 and was attended by numerous dignitaries including the current cultural affairs Attaché at the US Embassy Arlissa Reynolds, the Project Director at NIC Parvez Abbasi, and the CEO Ignite Mr. Yusuf Hussain.
All of the program activities were conducted at the National Incubation Center Islamabad which is a tech and startup hub running under a public-private partnership between the Ministry of IT & Telecom, National ICT R&D Fund, Jazz & Teamup.
