This is how Elon Musk’s Roadster will look like on its way to Mars [Video]

Hopefully, tomorrow we will see the launch of the first spacecraft heading to Mars.

There’s plenty of room for errors but at least we know that tomorrow is the day when someone is attempting the first launch of spacecraft heading towards Mars. Who else could dare other than your favorite, Elon Musk, the founder of SpaceX and Tesla? The man who earlier revealed the pictures of his Roadster, sports car getting ready for a tour to Mars seems to be fulfilling his promise. Elon Musk has shared the animation of Falcon Heavy sending a car to Mars over Twitter.

The SpaceX’s Falcon Heavy which is built by combining three Falcon 9 rockets together, attached to a single base, has been going through static test fires since last month at Florida’s Kennedy Space Center. Space X has now released a video which reveals that how the launch will work if everything goes according to plan. Here’s the video:

The video presents Falcon Heavy after being launched, two of Falcon Heavy’s three boosters will return to Earth, landing back at Kennedy Space Center. The third will keep traveling further away but will also eventually detach and land on one of SpaceX’s drone ships. And from there, the journey of Roadster will start, carrying a spacesuit-clad dummy, the sports car will then continue on its path to Mars. Elon Musk doesn’t portray it as perfect launch and he has indicated a potential risk,

“There’s a really good chance that it does not make it to orbit. I hope it gets far enough away from the launch pad that it does not cause pad damage –- I would consider that a win.”

If the rocket successfully launched, sending the Roadster beyond Mars could actually serve a purpose for SpaceX. The Falcon Heavy is capable of sending larger payloads deeper into space than its current Falcon 9 rocket. So let’s wait a little bit more, as the liftoff is happening anytime soon.
