Elaj Trust and FCS IBA collaborate to hold Elaj Tech Lab

Elaj Trust has launched the Elaj Tech Lab to stimulate innovation and motivate students in the field of technology to work for the community.

A social welfare trust, Elaj wants to encourage interaction between students majoring in Computer Science and Medical Professionals working in the field. Through the Elaj Tech Lab, the organization aims to connect students in the field of technology to the right people, not only in terms of research and grooming but also for funding, encouraging them to use their skills to help health, education and social sectors of Pakistan in order to make a better community.

Starting with IBA, the Elaj Tech Lab will allow students to share the ideas for their Final Year Projects, which will then be judged by a jury of their respective institution(IBA in this case). Once cleared, they may also be put into practical use in the health sector, supported by the funding Elaj Trust aims to raise.

The first Elaj Tech Lab event was held on the 27th of January at IBA’s Main Campus. Even though this particular event was restricted to IBA’s students and faculty, the organization has told TechJuice that they aim to expand the program to other institutes as well in the near future.
