Dubai To Grant 10000 Golden Visas To Digital Content Creators As Part Of New Initiative

Dubai has unveiled a new initiative, “Creators HQ,” designed to position the city as a global leader in digital media by attracting 10,000 influencers and content creators. The program aims to offer participants a range of valuable incentives, including assistance with the UAE Golden Visa application, as well as support for relocation and company registration formation during the program.

The announcement was made during the high-profile 1 Billion Followers Summit, which highlighted creators and showcased a vast audience of one billion followers across all attendees. A support fund for content creators, initiated at last year’s summit, backs this ambitious project with AED 150 million ($40.8 million) in dedicated resources.

Golden Visa & Creator Support

Actor Asad Raza Khan, who obtained his UAE golden visa in 2022 under the actor category, emphasized the nation’s commitment to nurturing talent in content creation, acting, and writing. The UAE has announced the availability of golden visas, 10-year residence permits, for almost 10,000 creators, aiming to draw talent from across the globe.

The program is not limited to social media influencers but is designed to support a diverse range of digital creators, including:

  • Podcasters, visual artists, and media professionals
  • Advertising and marketing firms
  • Music producers, animation studios, and fashion brands

To create a completely integrated creative environment, the project also seeks to forge alliances with Internet businesses, such as social media platforms, streaming services, gaming companies, and AI startups.

Forbes claims that Dubai is promoting itself as a place that is ideal for creators, offering first-rate infrastructure, tax breaks, and specialist assistance. The program might help Dubai achieve its economic diversification objectives and position the city as a global leader in digital content creation if it is successful in luring 10,000 influencers.

When the Creators HQ launched in Dubai’s Emirates Towers, it had 100 founding members from more than 20 nations. More than 15 significant industry participants, such as Meta, TikTok, and X (previously Twitter), have endorsed it.

UAE Cabinet Affairs,  Minister Mohammad Al Gergawi underlined Dubai’s aspiration to establish itself as a worldwide platform for content creators to develop their careers while securing investment opportunities for audience expansion.

The “Creators HQ” initiative will organize a total of over 300 workshops and events yearly to provide instruction on essential topics from branding through audience engagement to video production and storytelling while addressing sponsorship possibilities and monetization approaches. The initiative strengthens Dubai’s position in the digital creator economy through the implementation of mentorship programs along with funding opportunities and creative camps for young talent.
