HP has left no stones unturned with the announcement of its latest premium laptop – the Spectre 13. It is the world’s thinnest laptop, it will feature the Core i processors (even at that size), and it is one of the most attractive laptops around. HP has worked hard on innovating itself to new extremes with this launch. However, this is not the end of it. If you’re asking yourself what more could there be then there are two gold plated limited editions of the laptop as well.
The first of the two special edition versions features a 18k gold plated body with the HP logo crafted from diamonds. Yes, gold plated with diamonds sprinkled on top. What more? The keyboard font will also be replaced by a beautiful hand-written font. This version has been designed by Jess Hannah of Los Angeles.
The second limited edition version has been designed by London designer Tord Boontje. In this version, the back of the laptop is beautifully crafted with a design that has been made with 18k gold plated strokes. The flowers in the design have been made using Swarovski crystals.
HP has definitely added to the exclusiveness of the Spectre 13 with these limited editions. They’re beautiful, innovative, and appealing. However, there is no word on whether these laptops will be available for sale or not. Currently, these laptops are being auctioned off and for a good cause – the money will be donated to charity through the Nelson Mandela Foundation.
