LG‘s next big smartphone does not belong to the widely renowned LG G series. In fact, for sometime LG V series have also been making quite a buzz. The premiums V-series phone that began rolling with LG V10 and LG V20, have been widely welcomed.
The latest smartphone from this series, LG V30 is expected to reveal during this year’s IFA 2017 show that is expected to be held in Berlin starting September 1. LG just revealed the first look of the smartphone with a teaser to save the date for August 31. The biggest hint comes from the V like shape that is quite apparent on the display of the smartphone teased.
The V series smartphones also earned fame for their secondary displays. It, however, is expected that the V30 won’t necessarily have these screens but instead boast an edge-to-edge curved display, similar to the infinity display in Samsung Galaxy S8. The minimal bezels make the smartphone seem quite similar to the extra-tall display (FullVision Display) on the LG G6. A handful of leaks like those from OnLeaks via MySmartPrice also predict the smartphone to be more like a curvier G6.
As far as the other specifications are concerned, LG V30 will come with Snapdragon 835 processors which are a bit faster than the Snapdragon 821 processors that powered the G6. The smartphone will come with all other features of a high end smartphone. The list includes a fingerprint sensor mounted to the back and a manual camera for added prowess for the mobile enthusiasts. The display on the smartphone would measure 6 inches diagonally. The smartphone will also feature a USB Type-C port.
On top of the Snapdragon 835 processor, the LG V30 would have 4GB of RAM. The smartphone will most possibly pack 3,200 mAh of battery and IP68 dust and water resistance certification. This IP68 certification seconds another rumor about the smartphone back being all-glass.
It would be worth mentioning here that these details are an amalgamation of various leaks that we have been seeing over past some time. We will certainly have to wait till the release date to see what LG really has in store for us.
