CPEC official website unveiled

China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) website was inaugurated in a ceremony held in Islamabad, Pakistan.

The purpose of the website is to provide comprehensive information to the masses about the CPEC projects and developments. There is already a website on CPEC run solely by Pakistan government. The new website is a result of joint effort of Pakistan-China Institute (PCI), China Radio International (CRI) and Chinese Embassy. The website will be jointly run by both countries. PCI Chairman Mushahid Hussain said,

“The PCI has devised a comprehensive CPEC information collection and verification mechanism, which will involve the stakeholders of the CPEC, enhance their knowledge about the bilateral collaboration, and enrich their interaction for mutual gains.”

Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Sun Weidong said while addressing the launch,

“This new website will become an important source of comprehensive information for all the people who want to learn more about CPEC. I am also convinced that this new website will help build up more support and consensus on CPEC among the people of Pakistan in the future.”

CPEC is an initiative of Pak-China Governments paving new paths of investment in energy infrastructure, technology, roads, ports, railways and high capacity industrial units. It is a source of employment for thousands of people.
