Contour Software Announces Major Jobs Surge

Constellation Software Inc. (CSI), now the largest software company headquartered in Canada, and a conglomerate with a truly global presence, opened their Pakistan subsidiary, Contour Software, in 2010.

From a humble start with a dozen employees in Karachi, Contour has risen steadily up the ranks of the top IT exporters of the country, expanding to Lahore and Islamabad, and growing by 125 employees in 2018 alone. Contour started 2019 as a 500-employee company, has already grown by over 100 staff so far in 2019, and is proud to announce well over 125 additional exciting opportunities available.

With Constellation’s pre-existing large portfolio of product divisions and a steady pipeline of vertical market enterprise software companies getting acquired into the fold, Contour is set to continue to grow steadily over the coming years. To enable this continuous growth, Contour is expanding its footprint by increasing its investment in facilities and premises to be able to house a much larger group of employees. On 11th March 2019, the High Commissioner of Canada Hon Wendy Gilmour joined Dexter Salna, the President of the Perseus Operating Group of CSI, and Bonnie Wilhelm, the CFO, who were on a visit to Pakistan to meet some of their Contour staff, to pre-inaugurate Contour’s new premises in Karachi. Since then, Contour’s Karachi team has settled into their modern, custom-designed premises, which more than doubles the Karachi office capacity, to allow for housing up to 800 staff. In a similar vein, on 21st March 2019, Sean Raynor, General Manager Constellation Dealership Systems North America, along with R&D Managers Eric Tchokonte & Timothy Dyck, joined the Contour team to inaugurate the start of office expansion to double Contour Lahore’s size to house up to 300+ staff. In coming weeks, Contour Islamabad is set for an expansion to allow for housing well over 100 staff.

Employment at Contour involves work on market-leading, industry-specific enterprise systems, international training, and professional development opportunities, collaboration with senior and seasoned international experts, exposure to a smorgasbord of industry domains and technologies under one roof, and an employer and work environment that facilitates and encourages inclusion and long-term retention. Contour Software’s MD Mr. Bilal Mahmood states that “Our track record of performance is such that every week we are growing by 5-6 employees, and yet our backlog of openings remains the same due to the same number of new positions being posted weekly. Smart, driven and dedicated people are our fuel, and can count on fulfilling long-term careers at Contour.” In recognition of Contour’s positive impact in terms of mutually beneficial trade between Canada and Pakistan, Bilal Mahmood received the Canada Pakistan Business Council’s capstone Business Excellence Award for 2019.
