LAHORE: The CM Punjab Laptop Scheme 2025 aims to provide free laptops to high-achieving students across Punjab, fostering academic excellence and technological empowerment. This initiative has sparked excitement among students eager to access the latest gadgets.
Under the scheme, the government plans to distribute 50,000 state-of-the-art laptops to students who excel academically. Each year, 2,000 laptops will be allocated to students with intermediate or qualifying academic credentials. Minority students and top performers in secondary and higher secondary school exams will also benefit, from receiving 13th-generation Core i7 laptops to encourage research and learning.
32% of the laptops will be allocated to students in South Punjab, ensuring equitable distribution.
The program welcomes students majoring in fields such as computer science, medicine, engineering, agriculture, business, social sciences, veterinary medicine, and languages.
No online application is required. Schools will compile and submit data on eligible students, simplifying the process for participants.
The distribution of laptops under the CM Punjab Laptop Scheme 2025 is expected to commence after Ramadan, likely in April or May 2025.
Earlier this month, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced the arrival of the first shipment of laptops in Pakistan. The Higher Education Commission (HEC) Punjab will release the final list of selected students after verifying the data.
The Honhaar Scholarship Programme will oversee the distribution of laptops at various ceremonies, ensuring deserving students are rewarded for their hard work and dedication.
