KARACHI: Chris Lewis, an American vlogger, recently went viral after posting a video in which he reviews the Pearl-Continental (PC) Hotel in Karachi.
Early on in his video, Lewis rented a room at the posh establishment for $150 (about 41,800) and recorded the check-in process, which was excessively lengthy due to security and other procedures.
The video blogger continued by revealing the unclean area, complete with oil and grease spots on the table and menu, an uncomfortable chair, and grimy furniture.
Despite praising the room’s carpet, he was horrified by the blood spots on the floor.

In addition, Chris Lewis captured footage of the moldy area beneath the bathroom sink’s rim in the video. Additionally, he demonstrated how the washbasin tap is positioned incorrectly. He was almost touching the sink with his hands, but the water from the tap wasn’t falling in the middle. In addition to the hairs in the shower, the footage showed that the soap holder was filthy with mold covering its corners.
The vlogger had previously blasted the Islamabad Serena Hotels last year, saying they offered the worst service for $300 per night. Lewis said he went to the Serena Hotel because it had five places. However, he thought the food and room service were average for the price.
