Chinese entrepreneurs visit Pakistan to explore investment opportunities

A delegate of Chinese entrepreneurs visited Pakistan to explore different investment opportunities. During the visit, the delegate expressed keen interests to invest in different fields of science and technology, and manufacturing industries across Pakistan.

The delegate visited Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) yesterday where ICCI President Atif Ikram Sheikh welcomed them and briefed them about different investment opportunities in Pakistan.

He said that Pakistan has immense and promising investment opportunities mainly in the fields of telecommunication, information technology, energy, construction, poultry, pharmaceuticals, and exploration of minerals. He assured that ICCI will play its due role in bridging the gaps and creating synergies between Pakistani and Chinese companies.

The delegate indicated that the sound progress of Pakistan’s economy, and the success of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has developed keen interests among Chinese entrepreneurs to invest in Pakistan.
The delegate further said that they have found Pakistan’s economy making concrete progress and that it qualifies as a promising country for mutual business prospects.

The 11-member Chinese delegation of entrepreneurs, being led by Shadong Jinan Bulinte Railway Company Chairman Zheng Gouliang, included entrepreneurs from different sectors including railway equipment manufacturing, glass production, mechanical and electrical industries, and construction machinery production.

There is no doubt in the fact that China forms strong socio-economic and strategic partnership with Pakistan. China has shown longstanding commitments towards developing infrastructure of Pakistan. Recently, Pak-China Optic Fiber Project was launched in Gilgit-Baltistan. Not to forget, the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor which boasts long-term bearings for Pakistan.
