If you are someone that has been using the internet since before 2010, it’s likely that you may have come across the ‘Charlie Bit My Finger’ video. The video surfaced on YouTube somewhere around 2007 and took the internet by storm.
The video was made during a fun little play time between two brothers aged 3 and 1. In the video the elder brother named Davies intentionally got his finger bitten by his younger brother Charlie’s. The video then ended in playful cries and a lot of giggles.
With its ability to bring a smile on anyone’s face, the video is still regarded as one of the best videos on the internet. Being widely famous, the video was just recently converted and sold as an NFT last week.
The video sold for around $760,999 and turned the bidding winner into the sole owner. The bidding was won by a user named 3fmusic who won after a tough battle with another bidder named mememaster.
According to details on the NFT auction page, the original video will soon be deleted from YouTube. However other copies and uploads of the video will stay on the internet since this NFT is not a copyright.
The charlie bit my finger NFT is more like an autograph or a collectible that makes you a part in the history of one of the internet’s most viral videos. “Bid to own the soon-to-be-deleted YouTube phenomenon, Charlie Bit My Finger, leaving you as the sole owner of this lovable piece of internet history (while also getting the chance to say Charlie bit your finger, if you want to see what all the hype is about)” said the auction about the NFT.
