Casio Introduces a Mini Ring Watch, Coming Soon to the US

Casio, the renowned Japanese manufacturer of watches and musical instruments, is best known for its G-Shock line. Expanding its innovative lineup, Casio has introduced small finger ring watches inspired by vintage designs, captivating customers worldwide.

The brand has lately announced its plans to bring these timepieces to the United States, so buyers who are waiting for their arrival will be pleasantly surprised.

Samsung, Ultrahuman, and other wearable manufacturers dominate the market with ring-shaped devices that provide every conceivable fitness tracking function. The Casio Ring Watch, which came out to honor the company’s 50th anniversary, doesn’t do any fancy fitness tracking. It just gives you the time.

It was previously believed that this would only be available in Japan. Still, a listing on Casio’s US website verifies that model CRW001-1 is making its way to the US (via Android Authority).

Launching Soon with Competitive Pricing

Using a tiny display and internals powered by a basic coin cell battery, Casio’s latest innovation is a complex piece of gear that should last two years before requiring replacement. Among its many watch-like functions is a seven-segment LCD display that flashes an alarm and a stopwatch.

Like traditional digital watches, this one has three side buttons for control, and according to Casio, it’s available in three different sizes. The 20mm inner diameter is designed to accommodate US ring sizes 10.5 by default, but two spacers are included to bring the diameter down to 19mm and 18mm, respectively.

The new watch is a whopping ten times smaller than the average Casio wristwatch, which isn’t exactly the biggest out there. If you wear one, you’ll undoubtedly spark conversation due to its classic style and uniqueness. The watch will be available in the US in December for $120.
