Yesterday, Careem, one of the fastest growing app-based car booking service, inaugurated their new office in Lahore. The event was attended by technology and government officials including but not limited to Dr. Umar Saif, Chairman PITB. Dr. Umar was also the Chief Guest at the occasion and inaugurated the new office which is set to act as the “Home of Happiest Captains in Pakistan”. Other attendees at the event included Mr. Hasnain Sheikh, CEO Inov8, Lahore Transport Company COO & CTO.
Inauguration of the new office comes at a point when Careem has announced $100 million R&D fund and has also acquired an engineering team from VentureDive.
Junaid Iqbal, The Managing Director at Careem, said at the launch occasion,
“It is a proud moment for us to launch a new office in Lahore to cater to the growing business needs and set an example of extraordinary transportation services in Pakistan by easing captain recruitment, the onboarding process and to continue serving its customers. This office shall provide all services under one roof for Investors, Captains and Customers alike.”
He also added that,
“This shall also help all potential investors to quickly become part of our Careem Partner program and play their part in the entrepreneurial eco-system.”
