Can you hear me now? Edward Snowden joins twitter

Just 14 hours ago, Edward Snowden posts his first tweet on twitter “Can you hear me now?”

Within those 14 hours he has tweeted 7 times, and when twitter confirms that this is his account, he now has more than half a million followers, in just 7 tweets.

In his next tweet he said “And now we’ve got water on Mars! Do you think they check passports at the border? Asking for a friend.”

He is following 1 person on twitter and that is the NSA (National Security Agency), and on his account description he writes “I used to work for the government. Now I work for the public. Director at @FreedomofPress

In 2013 Edward Snowden exposed secret documents of NSA related to phone and internet surveillance, since then he is living in exile.
