BYD, the world’s largest electric car manufacturer, has just launched the SEAL and Atto 3 models, which would significantly increase Pakistan’s EV industry. This announcement is a continuation of the company’s initial announcement in August, when it exhibited three models: SEALION, SEAL, and Atto 3, upon its entry into the local EV market. As anticipated, BYD Pakistan disclosed the official prices of these vehicles at a recent event earlier this month.
The pricing details of newly launched models are as follows:
The BYD SEAL is a D-segment sedan that is designed to compete with the Tesla Model 3. It features a sleek roofline that enhances the car’s aerodynamics and aesthetic appeal. It incorporates an “Ocean Aesthetics” design theme, which is characterized by its distinctive double U-shaped headlamps and an X-shaped front end. The SEAL offers a luxurious experience with leather and Alcantara finishes adorned with diamond stitching.
Key features include a panoramic roof, heated and ventilated front seats, a Swarovski-style crystal transmission lever, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and volume and air conditioning. The SEAL boasts an impressive range of up to 570 km and is powered by an 82.5 kWh Blade Battery. It has a socket for charging domestic appliances and can charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 37 minutes.
The Atto 3 is a new C-category completely electric SUV that is designed to compete with models such as the Hyundai Tucson and the KIA Sportage. Its front end features bi-projector LED headlamps and a fin-line structured grille to enhance aerodynamics, and its design is influenced by marine life. The Atto 3’s interior is a captivating amalgamation of black and light blue facades, red accents and sophisticated upholstery, which includes bucket seats and a centre console reminiscent of an airplane cockpit.
The automobile is equipped with a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay compatibility, in addition to a rotating screen for added comfort. Other aspects pertain to safety, which encompasses airbags, collision, and parking assist systems.
BYD intends to revolutionize the emerging electric vehicle market in Pakistan by introducing SEAL and Atto 3, which will offer the most advanced technologies and designs to Pakistani consumers.
