Bitcoin bangs with a new all-time high of $10,000

Bitcoin’s price is skyrocketing. A couple of days ago its price reached $9,600 mark and just today it hit $10,000 mark. The world’s largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization is now trading at $10,374, as you can visit our homepage to check its latest price in PKR too.

Last year Bitcoin’s price was just around $750, which eventually reached $1,100 by the end of the year. This year Bitcoin started an epic bull run especially during last 4-5 months where its price boosted from $4,000 to $10,000 now. The most dominated cryptocurrency has boosted its price up to 900 percent this year as it started from $1000, earlier this year.

A few years ago, Bitcoin was not given much attention as people were unaware of its deep impact. For instance, in 2010, a developer Laszlo Hanyecz bought 2 pizzas by trading 10,000 bitcoins, which today have the cost of around $100 million. This trade is also believed to be the first “real-world” transaction of Bitcoin. He posted on the Bitcoin Talk forum saying,

“I’ll pay 10,000 bitcoins for a couple of pizzas.. like maybe 2 large ones so I have some left over for the next day. It would be interesting if I could say that I paid for a pizza in bitcoins.”

Well, this was obvious as people get to accept new things after they prove their worth. This was an individual’s loss and when we talk about collective loss, around $30 billion in Bitcoins has been spoiled already since past decade. Half of these Bitcoins have been lost or misplaced during the past 9 years since Bitcoin was introduced.

Bitcoin is now trading at around 10,918,63 PKR at 10:00 am PST, while the price of 2nd most popular cryptocurrency, Ethereum is also seeing a gradual increase, trading at $471.
