The Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) has announced an increase in the quarterly stipend for the Benazir Kafalat Program, raising it from Rs10,500 to Rs13,500, effective January 2025.
Senator Rubina Khalid, Chairperson of BISP, highlighted the government’s dedication to supporting underprivileged communities. “This increase marks a new chapter in our efforts to support deserving women and their families,” she stated.
In addition to the stipend increase, Senator Khalid declared 2025 as the “Year of the Benazir Hunarmand Program.” This initiative aims to inspire individuals through the provision of vocational training and resources designed to improve their livelihoods. “The Benazir Hunarmand Program is a step forward in helping people stand on their own feet,” Khalid remarked.
The Chairperson reaffirmed BISP’s dedication to supporting disadvantaged communities with transparency and ethical standards. The initiatives illustrate BISP’s continuous commitment to enhancing the lives of marginalized communities and fostering economic empowerment throughout Pakistan.
