A new leak of the LG G7 is reassuring that the South Korean tech giant has not forgotten to launch its flagship for 2018. Yes, we are compelled to say that as LG changed the roadmap for its smartphone by not launching it close to the Galaxy S9 as it did, last year. We don’t know when the time will be right for LG G7’s launch but a new leak has revealed much of the device.
The leak posted by @OnLeaks via TheMrPhone, give us our clearest look at what might be the LG G7’s final design. Small bezels, dual cameras, and the ever-controversial notch are present in the CAD render of the device. The device packs the same glass back and metal frame as we have seen in LG G6.
The render shows the back of the LG G7 hosts a dual camera with LED flash and laser autofocus, plus a fingerprint scanner. There’s a 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom as well. The LG G7 measures roughly 153.2 x 71.9 x 8.2 mm, and hence it’s going to be a bit taller and thicker than last year’s LG G6.
In addition, there’s an extra button next to the volume controls; this could be used to summon a camera or voice assistant, but that’s just my guess.
Meanwhile, it’s still not confirmed that whether LG will follow Apple to copy an iPhone X like notch as it was found asking from its consumers; “Love the Notch? Or is it Notch not your thing?”
Previously surfaced rumors about the upcoming G-series smartphone hints towards full view 18:9 4K OLED display. The smartphone may also feature Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 845 chipset. The phone may feature a dual camera setup on the back, but we are not sure about that. The LG G7 variants also rumored to have an iris scanner, IP68, HDR10 and a battery capacity of 3,000 mAh.
Well, there’s still no official word on the smartphone’s launch, so take everything above said with a pinch of salt.
