Taiwan-based ASUS has just launched four smartphones in its ZenFone 4 series.
At an event held in Taiwan, ASUS took the veil off four new smartphones namely ZenFone 4 Pro, ZenFone 4, Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro and Zenfone 4 Selfie. Two of these smartphones are entirely new to the audience while we had a hint of their Selfie versions before. ASUS has put itself completely into the dual-lens setup frenzy with this range. All these smartphones bear the dual-lens camera, on the front or at the back.
As far as the specifications of these smartphones are concerned, these smartphones are modeled around the ASUS ZenFone 4 smartphone. The range targets different consumer sections of the market. Except for the ZenFone 4 Pro which focuses the premium end, the other three sartphones focus the mid to high range. On the inside, all these smartphones are run by latest Android, Android 7.1.1 Nougat customized by the company’s skin ZenUI version 4.0.
Like already mentioned, ASUS ZenFone 4 Pro has a dual lens setup at the back. ASUS has opted for 12 MP Sony IMX362 in combination with another 16MP lens. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 with Adreno 540 GPU in combination with 6GB RAM. ASUS ZenFone 4 packs a little lesser specifications. There is a 12MP + 8MP rear camera setup. On the inside, it is powered by Snapdragon 660 SoC.
The Selfie models from this range carry the dual-lens setup on the front. The ASUS ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 with Adreno 506 GPU in combination with 4GB RAM. There is a 20MP + 12MP front camera. On the other hand, the ASUS ZenFone 4 Selfie is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 with 4GB RAM and there is 20MP + 8MP front camera.
The smartphones would be made available in the worldwide market followed by an initial release in Asia. The ASUS ZenFone 4 would be available for prices starting at $399 (roughly PKR 42,000), while the ZenFone 4 Pro for $599 plus (roughly PKR 63,000). The ASUS ZenFone 4 Selfie would be available for prices starting at roughly PKR 32,000, while the ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro for $379 (roughly PKR 40,000).
