This one-of-a-kind foldable 17.3-inch laptop will be available internationally beginning in Q4 2022.

This extraordinary laptop, which has wowed the public with its adaptability, creativity, and brilliance since its debut at CES 2022, features a one-of-a-kind design that allows for two OLED display setups in a single device. The ASUS Zenbook 17 Fold OLED (UX9702) is a revolutionary form factor with never-before-seen adaptability, thanks to a big 4:3 17.3-inch 2.5K touchscreen that folds in the middle to produce two seamless 3:2 12.5-inch 1920 by 1280 screens. The folding design, when paired with the full-size ASUS ErgoSense Bluetooth keyboard and touchpad, enables a variety of diverse usage scenarios.

During IFA 2022, the ASUS Zenbook 17 Fold OLED (UX9702) will be available for hands-on demonstrations in the ASUS booths, alongside a wide range of innovations. Consumer, gaming, creative, business, and intelligent health solutions are accessible for hands-on testing in the ASUS IFA booth, providing a broad perspective of our newest innovative ideas, technologies, and products.

The ASUS Zenbook 17 Fold OLED (UX9702), co-engineered with Intel, is the world’s first 17.3-inch foldable OLED laptop validated by Intel® Evo and provides users with two sizes of OLED display in one device: a large 4:3, 17.3-inch, 2.5K touchscreen that folds in the middle to create two seamless 3:2, 12.5-inch, 19201280 displays. The folding design, combined with the full-size ASUS ErgoSense Bluetooth keyboard and trackpad, enables many varied usage modes – Desktop, Laptop (with Bluetooth keyboard), Laptop (with virtual keyboard), Tablet, Reader, and Extended.

ASUS and Intel created industry-first solutions to drive foldable innovation and collaborations between subject experts and ecosystem partnerships. The 12th Generation Intel Core i7 U-Series CPUs, Intel Iris® Xe graphics, Intel WiFi 6E, up to 16 GB RAM, and a fast 1 TB PCIe® 4.0 SSD offer effortless performance. There are two handy Thunderbolt 4 connectors for connecting peripherals, facilitating quick charging of the long-lasting 75 Wh battery, and connecting to external screens.

The media day event included various issues, including technological breakthroughs, design, environmental considerations, and user experience. The Zenbook 17 Fold OLED is meant to combine the features of multiple devices — laptops, desktop computers, and tablets — into a single small device with adaptable modes to satisfy every demand. The design is striking, with an ASUS monogram logo on the matte glass coating that intriguingly catches the light. In addition, the device’s cover is constructed of dark green imitation leather, which adds to its elegant appearance while also providing a nice feel.

The engineering behind the strong 180° hinge and how gyroscopic sensors are employed to deliver the most incredible sound from the quad-speaker audio system regardless of device orientation were also discussed during the event. It also described how the laptop was created to be so light and powerful that it passed Intel Evo certification.
