Apply Now for Co-working space at Plan9 TechHub for Freelancers

If you are a freelancer and are currently facing the problems that exclusively a Pakistani work-from-home individual can fathom like disruptive electricity or internet connection and intrusive environment, this might be the solution: Plan9 TechHub, which is a co-working space for Pakistani freelancers, is now accepting applications for its next quarterly cycle.

For the uninitiated, TechHub is a project of Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) designed to provide state-of-the-art co-working facility to Pakistani freelancers in order to ‘empower them to channelize their skills and potential and enable them to contribute towards the national economy’. It is located at 5th Floor, Room No. 6, Arfa Software Technology Park, Lahore.

TechHub accepts applications from freelancer individuals on quarterly basis, and provides the successful applicants a number of perks apart from the work-space such as internet and UPS facility, office furniture and supplies, heating/air-conditioning, and exclusive networking opportunities and access to events organized by Plan9.

Apart from the tangible services and facilities, TechHub has also set up a dedicated Board of Advisors and Mentors to further assist the freelancers in their ventures. These professionals will organize occasional sessions to guide the freelancers, both in regards to a general perspective of freelancing and their own field of work.

These services are provided to the selected candidates free-of-cost, since it is a government-run project. But it also intensifies the competitive selection procedure which is based on the applicant’s experience and freelancing profile.

Interested individuals can apply at TechHub’s official website by filling out the application form. If a team of freelancers is interested in acquiring the co-working space, they’ll still have to fill-out their application forms individually. Once the quarterly cycle of selected freelancers if over, they will have to apply again if they are interested in TechHub’s services for another quarter.

The upcoming quarter of Plan9 TechHub will begin from November 15th. Applications will be accepted up until November 10th following which shortlisted candidates will be called in for a short interview.

For FAQs and access to application form, interested individuals visit TechHub’s official website; TechHub’s official Facebook page is another source of timely updates and announcements.
