Apple’s upcoming event for the launch of new iPads, AirPods, and other products is expected to be held on 29th March, according to a new report on the internet. In this particular, we expect to see an entry-level iPad model in this particular event along with AirPower wireless charging mat and the second generation of AirPods.
If you are wondering how successful AirPods are then be surprised (or not?) to know that they are Apple’s second most successful product right now within 2 years of their launch. According to a study entitled “AirPods have gone viral”, there was a 500% year-over-year growth in search interest for the AirPods during the holiday season of 2018. The study also predicts that Apple will be close to selling around 40 million pairs of AirPods in 2019, which is a staggering figure, to say the least.
This launch rumor comes from iPhonehellas.gr which is a new website so it is advised to take this with a grain of salt. According to it, Apple’s media event will take place in the second half of March whereas customers will be able to order the new products on 22nd March.
At the event, Apple is expected to launch 2 versions of the iPad, one will be the successor of the 9.7 inches version released last year whereas the other one is expected to be a new iPad Mini. Apple is also prepping up some media announcements which include but is not limited to a premium Apple News subscription.
