iPhone users have been hit by yet another bug. This time, it is the iPhone SE that is causing problems. Some owners say that it is suffering from a Bluetooth phone call glitch.
Launched on March 21, iPhone SE is less than a month old and strongly reminiscent of iPhone 5S. However, the latest release of Apple’s mobile operating system, iOS 9.3.1 is said to be causing the glitch in iPhone SE. The 9.3.1 release was aimed at fixing a glitch that was causing the Safari browser, Mail, and other apps to freeze or crash. But after that update rolled out, iPhone SE users were gripped with poor quality of phone calls made via Bluetooth connection.
Several users voicing their concern on Apple’s Support Communities are saying that the audio of a phone call via Bluetooth is distorted to the point that they can’t understand the other person. Some of those affected have cited Bluetooth connections with their cars as being especially problematic.
Apple reps have reportedly been able to reproduce the issue and the the information has been forwarded to concerned engineers. It is also believed that they have released a beta version of iOS 9.3.2 to developers for testing and so it is expected the issue will be resolved with the next release.
Apple’s iOS 9.3 version has caused a series of problems ever since it was first released. One would expect a large company like Apple to have things under control. All their hardware and software go through vigorous testing but somehow bugs crawl out into the world. They not only bother users who spend so much money on these devices but also call into question Apple’s performance.
