Apple’s New iPhone SE and Upgraded iPad Air Models to be Released Early Next Year

Apple is reportedly planning to introduce a new iPhone SE with support for Apple Intelligence as well as new iPad Air models and an enhanced Magic Keyboard for the iPad Air, as per the latest report by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. These new releases are expected to happen in the early part of the next year.

The upcoming iPhone SE is anticipated to have a design from the iPhone 14, including an edge-to-edge screen and a notch, this is an indication that it will have face ID which is a major turn-off from the current model’s touch ID home button. Gurman also says that the new device will integrate Apple Intelligence, which is currently available on the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and the latest iPhone 16 models.

Finally, about the iPad Air, Gurman said that the new models will receive “internal improvements” but did not clarify what these changes would involve. Besides, the new Magic Keyboard for the 11-inch and the 13-inch iPad Air models will also be released with the updates previously seen in the new iPad Pro version.

It is expected that new iPhone SE and iPad Air models will be released in March or April, and the announcement can be made using a video conference or press releases as iPhone 16 models have just launched in September. The last update for the iPhone SE was in March of this year while the iPad Air series received an update in May this year with the M2 chip and the addition of a 13-inch iPad Air.

With regard to the new devices, Gurman has not provided any details on their pricing for the new devices. The current iPhone SE is priced at $429(119500 PKR), and it still remains unclear whether the changes will come with an increase in the price. The iPad Air, which costs $599(166700 PKR) today, may also have its price changed in anticipation of internal enhancements.
