Apple’s headquarters have a shocking problem with employees walking into the Glass Walls

The Cupertino giant’s headquarters in California dubbed as Apple Park is a huge spaceship-like object built with glass walls. But there is a problem with the remarkable, circular building i.e. the employees working at the facility are walking into the transparent glass walls and getting badly injured.

Apple’s new $5 billion “spaceship” Apple Park campus is a spectacular headquarters any company would have imagined. The HQ also houses at least 13,000 employees and is dubbed as one of Steve Jobs’s last dream designs for the company that he so deeply loved. But those employees are not utterly happy with the design of the campus. In the first few days, three people suffered injuries serious enough to require calls to 911, back in January.

According to San Francisco based media outlet Chronicle, who managed to get excerpts from 911 calls, one person said that he hit his head but didn’t suffer serious bleeding, as he states; “I walked into a glass door on the first floor of Apple Park when I was trying to go outside.”

Meanwhile, another caller said on the same day while calling 911 that “We had an employee, he was on campus and he walked into a glass window, hitting his head,”

A city official in Cupertino had warned Apple about the possible risk but the company didn’t bother to look into the matter at that time and now the company’s official statement has affirmed the problem. “We’ve had people bump into the glass. That’s a problem we are working on right now”, said Apple’s vice president of real estate development, Dan Whisenhunt.

Apple is now planning to resolve the problem by installing small white markers on the glass walls and doors to make them more visible and prevent further employee injuries. Hopefully, this will work.
